Highway 49 Construction Updates - Phase 6

Starting on Monday, October 7, the Highway 49 Roadway Improvements project will move into Phase 6 (of 7) which will directly impact access to the Forrest General Hospital Emergency Department.

All traffic will enter the north parking lot via a temporary gravel drive. Signage will direct patients and visitors through the parking lot to the Emergency Department.

Upon exiting the Emergency Department drop-off canopy, traffic will be directed south through the front parking lot of the hospital, to Adeline Street, at which point traffic can circulate back to the north via Highway 49 or 28th Avenue.

This phase of construction is anticipated to have a duration of 3 to 4 months.
